The University of San Francisco Continues to Climb the Rankings

2013 has been a good year for USF recognition. U.S. News and World Report ranked USF in the top 10% of National Universities. The Princeton Review has named USF a Best Western School, and Washington Monthly, which evaluates colleges based on their contributions to social mobility, research, and service to the common good, has recognized USF in a number of ways. It has ranked USF 17th among all 284 national universities for the number of full-time faculty receiving significant awards, 19th for number of students performing community service, and 21st for number of staff supporting community service, number of service-learning courses, and number of scholarships for community service.

According to Washington Monthly, its rankings are determined by questions such as, “Are they educating low-income students, or just catering to the affluent? Are they improving the quality of their teaching, or ducking accountability for it?” and more. Washington Monthly doesn’t ask what a college can do for you, but what it can do for the country.
